Description: An extensive network of off-road vehicle trails offers an opportunity for easy hiking. One of my favorites is the trail along the town line between former townships of Athol and Hallowell, extending from Shannon Road to Cty # 18. This passes through open spaces, mixed hardwoods and cultivated fields. Please treat the privilege of access responsibly.
Plants of note: Spring Beauty, Hepatica, Blue Phlox, Wild Geranium, Tall White Lettuce, Red Elderberry, Violets, Red and White Trillium.
